I believe in personal responsibility.
I worked for and retired from Capitol Hill. I have seen how the Federal Government works and doesn’t work. Working for Members in charge of financial services, retirement and health care has exposed me to the possibilities and limitations of government. Based on my experience, the government is not going to be able to provide everything politicians are promising. I understand that promises of free things can help a person get elected, but we are running a deficit and have a huge debt. My belief is that in my lifetime the bill is going to come due.
In addition to my time on Capitol Hill, I have had the opportunity to work in business as well as run a few campaigns. I realize that the issues facing a business owner are very different from those of government employees. As such, I bring my vast knowledge in Federal employee benefits together with the experience and capabilities of our team at Ascend Planning and Consulting, LLC.
